Adult Swim Training
Sessions- Masters/Tri-athletes
Masters coaches can help improve your swimming and help you stay in shape!
West Austin Athletic Club offers many opportunities for pool time for adults to
swim laps, improve stroke technique, stay in shape, swim in a master's
program, cross train with another sport, rehabilitate after surgery or
injury, or train to swim competitively in swim meets or
WAAC Masters train Monday-Friday 5:45-8:15 am,
M-F noon-1pm. Coaches are on deck MWF. Workouts are provided
TTh. Coaches provide
innovative workouts and stroke instruction at all workout times.
The Adult Swim program is led former Longhorn swimmer Nate O'Brien,
assisted by veteran coach Steve Dailey and WAAC
founder John Walsh.
The adults who swim at WAAC consist of all abilities from
new swimmers and those who swim primarily for exercise to ex-college
swimmers and swimmers actively competing in triathlons or masters swim
meets. Coach Steve helps class participants set and achieve fitness
and competitive goals. Some of our adults choose to compete in master swim meets. Our team is West Austin Aquatics and we are a registered United States Masters Swimming team. We have adults who participate in open-water swims, short-course/long-course meets including Zones and Nationals, and triathlons.
