West Austin Athletic Club (WAAC) is extremely excited about this opportunity to offer swim lessons in Lakeway.  We look forward to serving the swimmers in the Lakeway community!

Lessons  will be offered this spring and summer.
Group, Semi-Private, & Private Lessons

All ages and abilities welcome from toddlers to adults.  Group classes begin at age 3.
 

May 14-24 Lessons start today (late fee will be waived while we fill our spots) Join the Inter/Adv class from 5:30-6 pm (1 spot),   or a Pre-Beginner or Private lesson from  6-6:30 May 21-24.

We are also taking registration and forming June classes!

Swim Lessons are often a child's first experience with learning to move independently in the water. WAAC's swim lessons provide beginners with the mechanics and confidence needed to learn formal strokes.  Competitive or advanced swimmers may also want to take lessons to improve their strokes or achieve a specific goal.  Please call Susan Walsh at 968-2518 or email susan@wfly.com to learn more about the swim lessons being taught at Lakeway.
 

Classes are Monday-Thursday 
May classes are in the afternoon.  Summer classes are in the morning.
Pre-Beginner one on one lessons for tentative swimmers 4-30 minute lessons $120
Group Lessons (3-5 swimmers) are 8 - 30 minute classes for 2 weeks $120/swimmer
Semi-Private 2 swimmers for 4 - 30 minute lessons $190 ($95/swimmer)
Private - scheduled one 30 minute class at a time $60,scheduled 4 at a time $200, ALL private lessons must be prepaid prior to scheduling.
$10 Reschedule Fee for lessons (request must be filled out on-line)
$20 Late fee for group lessons booked after the registration deadline (10 days before lesson start)

Swim Lessons Skill Categories    View for Lesson Goals
Pre-Beginner  afraid or tentative to put face in water, doesn't go in water over head or wears floaties when in the water
Beginner enjoys the water, can put face happily in and jump submerging head to a person close by, happily goes to class without parent
Advanced Beginner  Can move independently 3 feet and float on back, blows bubbles and moves arms and legs with face in water.
Intermediate  Comfortable moving with face in water or swimming under water 5-8 feet.  Can  float on back.
Advanced Some knowledge of swim strokes and air exchange.  Motor at least 1/2 length (12.5 yards) with face in water without stopping.

 We reserve the right to move any child for their benefit before or during the session.  We strive to provide your child with the best swimming lesson possible.

Swim Team ALL Year

Lakeway's Swim Team has programs all year.  During the school year they are part of West Austin Aquatics (WFLY).  During the summer the Lakeway Lakers competes as a summer swim team with other area summer league teams.
